Blue Ridge County Visitor Guide 2026

A practical introduction to the county’s four communities, with maps, seasonal recommendations, local experiences, and helpful information for planning a thoughtful visit.

Blue Ridge County is not one destination, but four connected communities. This guide will help you understand what makes each place distinct, decide where to stay, and plan a visit that leaves room for discovery.

Use it to explore historic streets, waterfalls, creative districts, farms, scenic roads, and the local businesses that give the county its character.

Before You Set Out

Blue Ridge County’s communities are close enough to explore together, but each deserves time of its own. Choose one or two areas for the day instead of trying to see everything at once.

Outdoor conditions can change quickly. Check trail, road, and weather information before travelling, particularly around waterfalls and mountain routes.

Some destinations have limited mobile service. Download the guide and any maps you need before leaving town.
